The 7% Tribe is a movement that aims to shatter the glass ceiling and, in so doing, create a path for future generations to follow. South Africa has given rise to so many hugely inspirational women and, by tapping into their insights, skills and talents, we can help uplift a new generation of successful South African women.
The 7% Tribe recognises that, in communities where girls have not enjoyed access to world-class education or mentorship, women may not have the confidence and resilience needed to succeed in the competitive corporate environment. That’s why we’re aiming to provide young girls and women from disadvantaged communities with the skills and support they need to make their mark in the working world.

Several media and trailblazers have pledged their support to create an initiative that will help other young women succeed in their chosen career paths. The gala dinner to be hosted on 31 August ties in with Women’s Month, but this is only the beginning of our journey.
So often, events come and go with no measurability, creating no meaningful change. After the clinking of the glasses and the warm and fuzzy feelings, people return to their routine until the following year, when once again the focus falls on Women’s Month. The 7% Tribe insists we DO MORE.
Because 7% is not enough.
With this in mind, we will announce our future initiatives and planned events for the next 12 months on 31 August, as we expand the 7% Tribe on a national scale.
